DAN'S JOURNEY WITH FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE

Functional Oncology Treatment recognize the importance of treating the whole person, and not only the symptoms of disease. They take the approach of addressing the mind, body, and spirit as equal components of health and well-being.

AT ONE TIME, EVERYONE THOUGHT THE WORLD WAS FLAT

At one time, everyone thought the world was flat, until someone sailed around the world and noticed it was not.  This is just like medicine, most everyone has a mindset that there is only one way to take care of cancer and for that matter many other diseases such as Lupus and Lyme’s.   We think that we have to cut away the cancers and have chemo and radiation, because we are told by our conventional doctors.  Where did they learn this, by research?  No, by only of what they are taught.  Do doctors research on their own? Do they go the extra mile to see what other countries do and how they have been treating these illnesses?

Knowledge is power, we need to take cancer into our own hands and research for ourselves and make our own decisions on how we want to be treated.  I know first-hand on methods that have better results due to there are no side effects.  Why do the treatments that are conventional cause side effects and Functional Medicine does not? Everyone goes for the surgery, chemo and radiation.  Looking back through my research those types of treatments are what can cause recurring cancer in the first place even though one may be told they are now cancer free.  I am very emotional over seeing all this pain, when we do not have to go through with these hard-core treatments causing more damage to our bodies.

This is why I have dedicated my time to educating others on ways we can take care of disease without harming ourselves.  Why is it that all prescription drugs have side effects?  What do you think they are doing to our bodies?  There are no quick fixes, we have to learn that in a large part there needs to be a lifestyle change.  When someone gains weight, the weight does not go away overnight.  This is like a disease just like cancer, you might have had it in your system for up to ten years.  So, it is not just going to disappear overnight. Diseases can be managed where you can be free of them.

Do we have to wait for someone to tell us that there are other options to control our disease latter, when we see several dying right now? This again is like way back when everyone thought the world was flat.  We need to stand up and shout out and make a difference now, for we can save maybe your mother, father, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, relatives and friends.

FINAL DAY OF TREATMENT

DAY 14 AT  HOSPITAL

Today was a kind of lazy day. Kicked off my shoes and just relaxed for my last ozone treatment. I have been sharing my experience with you all for the past two weeks to show that this type of treatment is painless and I am keeping my appetite up. I can not imagine having surgery or chemo the old conventional way.

We all need to open up our minds and realize that there are treatments out there that can manage cancer and keep your system healthy.

Dr Perez is coming in a little bit later to give me my home program. I have made some good friends here and will treasure the time I spent with them.

I will be going, Sherry and I are watching scary movies for Halloween. So take care all until tomorrow.

WAITING ON A FEVER

Day 11 OF TREATMENT

Today was an interesting day in a way… I started the day with of course a great breakfast of fruit, oatmeal, raison toast and a hot cup of organic coffee. Hopped in the shower and out for a bunch of IV bags of vitamins and trace minerals. These of coarse are to jump start the immune system.

Along with the two and a half hours of IV’s the girl showed up with the stem cells called Dentritic cells and also a shot to give me a chemical based fever.. The fever is used as a kicker sort of speak for the cells. Of course I was not able to have the normal method of hyperthermia such as my wife so I was given this other option by way of a shot. I received the shot and the cells and awaited the day so as to receive my fever. Now this is the first time I can think of that I sat around and kept saying to myself come on fever come on fever…but by the end of the day no fever..mmmm… The doctor came in and said in one mode that they do not know when it may take place and may even get it the next day..but as another note in a good way my immune system is so strong now that it just fought it off but oh well I am now looking forward for another fever day… Also, I jumped in what I call the turtle because it looks like one. But is really a sauna to use to release the toxins… Anyhow here comes dinner so have to go till the next time. Goodbye and hope to have you here for my next day.

OZONE KIND OF DAY

 DAY 10 OF TREATMENT

Well today was another day with ozone treatment and some more IV’s. The morning started out with a cup of coffee to wake me up and then I went on the computer to check my e-mail and the news around the world.

Just because I am in Mexico does not mean that I am isolated from the rest of the world news. I watched CNN News From Europe in English and Spanish.

I met another patient that is being treated here from the States and we related our stories to one another. Its’ interesting to hear how others decided to choose the same type of treatment that I and Sherry have been doing.

Now I am getting ready for dinner and settling in for the night. No pain and I felt great today. Sherry and I escaped for a little while and took a long walk around the area. The weather was quite nice with the sun shining and the wind blowing we could have not asked for a better day. One thing is for sure the treatments I have had so far certainly beat the chemo and radiation concepts I have heard others talk about.

Until the sun rises have a good night.

MY BIRTHDAY

 Day 9 OF TREATMENT

Well it’s the golden years and for me a new challenge in life. Today I started out with the nurse coming in my room to give me my vitals. She came in with this big sign that read HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL. I did not expect this that’s for sure.

Breakfast came in around 8:00, and then I was ready for a cup of coffee to wake up to start the new day. The chemist came in to continue my stem cell treatment.

PROSTACIT Prostate Immuno-Therapy

PROSTACIT is an autologous cell immuno-therapy that is used to treat prostate cancer.
In prostate cancer, like many other cancers, there is a lack of recognition in the immune system of the presence of disease in the body. PROSTACIT helps jolt the immune system back into action.

Prostate Autologous Cell Immuno-Therapy

Problems with the immune system are a major factor in cancer progression. As the cells in our organs replace themselves every day as part of the natural regeneration process, sometimes they grow too fast, leading to tumors. A healthy immune system will react to unusual cell growth and eliminate it before the person is even aware of a problem. But when the immune system does not detect the cancerous cells the disease continues to develop.

They can remove some naturally occurring dendritic cells from the patient and pass them through a treatment to activate their cancer sensitivity and present them with information from the tumor. When the cells are inserted back into the patient they are able to isolate any cancerous cells and the immune system fights them accordingly.

PROSTACIT uses prostatic epithelium, a specific agent that helps the immune system find prostate cells and acts as a potent inducer of the response of cytotoxic T lymphocytes.

PROSTACIT is a viable treatment option for late stage as well as early stage prostate cancer patients.

After my doctor came in he gave me the schedule for the next couple of days. I will be on IV’s for half the day. While I was on the IV’s lunch came and I was ready to eat. It was time to take a nap and a knock on the door, the chef and his staff came in with a big surprise a birthday desert with a candle in hand. Daniel the chef lit the candle and the staff sang Happy Birthday in Spanish.

The day is half over and I was just beginning to get started until I received calls on skype from my family wishing me a happy birthday.

It is now football Thursday and the Buc’s my home town team is playing. Got my computer ready on the program to watch the game. If you know me, I love sports so also; on the facility TV I had the World Series playing in Spanish. The Giant’s won game 2 and my Buc’s won, it was good day even while being treated for functional medicine.

HERE IS SOME OF OUR FOOD WE HAVE BEEN GETTING AT THE FACILITY  (ALL ORGANIC)

Tomorrow is another day, it will be light. Sherry and I might adventure and see some of the sites.

A DISAPPOINTING DAY

A DISAPPOINTING DAY

DAY 7

Today started out like any other day of Functional Medicine. We ate breakfast around 8:00 which was oatmeal and fruit (apples, pears, strawberries).  We also got coffee to wake us up. HAHA

I was called to go down to another room for the HYPERTHERMIA, I was getting ready and prepared to start the procedure, nine minutes through I was not responding due to my heart issues. All the tests that were given to me regarding the heart problem were fine until the day of the procedure. They had to abort the procedure for the doctor stated that my health was more important. They will be trying another procedure to heat up my blood.

Right now, I am eating lunch and having more IV’s. The doctor states that tomorrow they will start the first injection of stem cells. I will be keeping you all inform on my condition and treatments. Until then, stop and smell the roses….

A HEAVY KIND OF DAY

A HEAVY KIND OF DAY

SIXTH DAY

Hello to my viewers, today started out with some IV’s , and then breakfast. Daniel the chef whipped up some scrambled eggs with mango on the side. Oh, and of course we had coffee. I do not know if I have mentioned in the previous posts that all the food is organic.

After awhile the doctor came in to tell me about my schedule of treatments that I would be having today. I was going to have another treatment of ozone and the chemist was coming to take some of my blood for the stem cell treatment. In the evening after dinner I was going for a sauna treatment. In between all this I had time for rest.

Sherry and I rented some movies from the front office, of course they are free. I picked Rango the Lizard with Johnny Depp and Sherry picked Plan B with Jennifer Lopez. Tonight I will be busy watching them.

I just got back from my sauna treatment and I might say it let out a lot of steam.

Until tomorrow, I am for sure having the hyperthermia at around 11:00 o’clock. Stay tune for some pictures and even a movie of how it works.

Check out some of our dishes that we have eaten below and the picture of me in the sauna. I look like a big white turtle!!!! Also, you will see the male nurse that took care of me this evening.
