Hello and good afternoon,
I’m a little late in posting, I was talking this morning
to a friend in Mexico, mother and sister-in-law. The time waits for no one and it just ticked
away this morning.
It’s the weekend and with all of us hunkering down, we
are not getting our Vitamin D that we need.
Go outside if you can and roam in nature. Go out and see the spring weather and the
change of trees and flowers. Even hug a tree,
for they need loving and caring just like we do.
We need faith that this corona virus will leave us and
learn by this situation. We need more
sunshine in our lives.
THE ROOT OUR ENVIRONMENT
This was written also in 2017
Before we can begin, we first need to know the meaning of
the word root. Its the base, foundation, basic part, basic element of anything.
We all know this as a part of the body of a plant that develops, typically,
from the radicle and grows downward into the soil, anchoring the plant and
absorbing nutrients and moisture. To a
human, it is our immune system. The immune system is a system of many
biological structures and processes within an organism that protects against
disease.
We all come to the understanding that one is born into
this world and also know that we leave this world. However, the key to all of this is the
quality of life one enjoys during the time on earth. The big picture to all of this is how we play
this with our environment. Our immune
system detects how we exercise the activity of our everyday life’s.
It’s the environment that kills us. Pollution, the food (chemicals, GMO’s
processing), water we drink, stress, lack of exercise, which can affect our
DNA. What is our DNA? The nucleic acid that is the genetic material determining
the makeup of all living cells and many viruses.
So, it is our choice to create around us an environment
that is a safe lifestyle. You need to
create an area of less pollution. You
need to eat organic foods which do not have GMO’s and chemicals. You need to test the water you drink. You
need to practice mediation and be around nature with plenty of sunshine for
vitamin D. You need to walk, dance, or be involved in the community. All of the above’s you need to do, will keep
your immune system healthy, which will give you a better quality of life.
In my writings later, I will explain how important
pollution, food, water, stress, and exercise can make a healthy lifestyle which
will give us quality of life.
This is what Functional Medicine does, it gets to the
root (the cause) so that we can live a quality of life and a healthier immune
system.
How to Improve an Immune System
We live in a world where it's just harder to stay
healthy. Fresh and healthy food is available, but you usually have to go out of
your way to find it. The foundation of health is a healthy immune system, so
the best way to get and stay healthy is to do whatever it takes to support your
immune system. This can be a multi-pronged approach involving organic healthy
foods, exercise, supplementation and attitude.
things you'll need:
organic healthy foods
Basic vitamin and mineral supplements
Exercise
Relaxation
During this time, nature is very important to our bodies,
check with your areas if parks are open.
If so try to make it there and just walk some of the paths. Be considerate to others that may be there
and stay your distance. You and the
others can be safe and also enjoy the beginning of spring.
Here is a video for children with spring songs
BY SHERYL MALIN
Nature comes alive when the wind speaks to the trees with
a whisper of peace.
Through this sound we relate to the living plants and
animals of nature to give birth to happiness.
We stand by with the echoing of our souls with a smile
and give thanks to all the art of color around us.
Imagine the conversation that surrounds us and touch the
thought of beauty that is in front of us.
Nature is God’s gift to us and it gives us a since of joy
and calmness.
We create the relationship of friendship through nature
and understand the ways it fits in to our planet during the changes it takes
place.
Through your imagination, meditate the beauty of the
nature of colors around.

HOW NATURE AND OUR LIVES CAN CHANGE IN A MINUTE.
WHILE RELAXING AND
HEALING MYSELF FROM CANCER, I TOOK A TRIP TO VISIT MY DAUGHTER. THIS WAS A MUST
NEEDED TRIP! I LEARNED HOW OUR LIVES AND NATURE HAVE SO MUCH IN COMMON. WE CAN
CHANGE IN A HEARTBEAT. THE WEATHER WAS UP AND DOWN, JUST LIKE HEALING CAN BE.
THE TREES THAT LINE THE HIGHWAYS WHICH RUN ONE AFTER ANOTHER ALTHOUGH; APPEAR
SIMILAR, EACH HAVE THEIR OWN PERSONALITY MUCH LIKE SEEING MASSES OF PEOPLE IN A
CITY STREET. EVERYONE HAS A PERSONALITY AND WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE
THIS IF WE TAKE THE TIME. LOOK ALL AROUND YOU AND YOU CAN SEE WHAT I MEAN BY
THIS. I STARTED OUT WITH GREAT WEATHER AND ENDED UP WITH RAINY AND STORMY
WEATHER, SOMETIMES MUCH LIKE HOW WE FEEL. I WAS ABLE TO SEE THE BEAUTY THAT
SURROUNDS US, THE TALL MOUNTAINS AND TREES AND THE OLD BUILDINGS THAT WERE MADE
FROM STONE AND THE CHARACTER THAT WAS PUT IN EVERY STONE. I WAS ABLE TO SEE
CREATURES UP CLOSE AND HOW THEY CAN BE CALM AND PEACEFUL.
During this time, its very important to get our Vitamin
D. Go out and enjoy spring weather. Even
go out to your back yard or your balcony.
Sun and fresh air are both healthy ways to reduce stress.

Vitamin D Deficiency
Vitamin D Deficiency Related Diseases & Conditions
Researchers are still working to fully understand how
vitamin D works within our body and how it affects our overall health, but it
is believed to be a link between vitamin D deficiency to quite a number of
ailments:
1. Osteoporosis – An adequate amount of calcium and
vitamin D are important for maintaining bone density and strength. A lack of
vitamin D causes calcium-depleted bone, which further weakens the bones and
increases the risk of fractures. You can also read my article about the 4 steps
to prevent osteoporosis.
2. Asthma – Vitamin D deficiency is linked to lower lung
functions and worse asthma control, especially in children. Vitamin D may
improve asthma control by blocking inflammation-causing proteins in the lung,
as well as increasing production of another protein which has anti-inflammatory
effects. Read the article about natural treatments for asthma, which vitamin D
is one of them.
3. Heart health – Vitamin D deficiency may be linked to a
higher risk of high blood pressure (hypertension) as well as increased risk of
death from cardiovascular disease.
4. Inflammation – It has been found that vitamin D
deficiency is associated with inflammation, a negative response of the immune
system. Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to a number of inflammatory
diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, inflammatory bowel disease
(IBD) and type 1 diabetes.
5. Cholesterol – Vitamin D regulates cholesterol levels
in the blood: it has been shown that without adequate sun exposure, vitamin D
precursors turn to cholesterol instead of vitamin D.
6. Allergies – Studies show that children who had lower
levels of vitamin D are more likely to have multiple food allergies.
7. Influenza – Some studies showed a link between lack of
vitamin D and common respiratory infections, and indicate that people with the
lowest vitamin D levels report having significantly more cases of cold and flu
than those with higher levels.
8. Depression – Vitamin D deficiency is linked to
depression: receptors for vitamin D are present on many areas of the brain and
are involved in numerous brain processes, making it likely that this vitamin
might be associated with depression and that vitamin D supplements might play
an important role in treating depression.
9. Type-2 Diabetes – Studies have demonstrated
correlations between low vitamin D levels and the development of type 2
diabetes. Different studies provide evidence that vitamin D may contribute to
glucose tolerance through its effects on insulin secretion and insulin
sensitivity.
10. Oral health – Several recent reports demonstrate a
significant association between periodontal health and the intake of vitamin D.
It appears also that elderly patients with low vitamin D levels have a higher
rate of tooth loss than those with high vitamin D levels.
11. Rheumatoid arthritis – Low vitamin D may play a role
in developing rheumatoid arthritis. Studies have found that women who get more
vitamin D seem less likely to get rheumatoid arthritis. Also, among people who
already have rheumatoid arthritis, those with low vitamin D levels tend to have
more active symptoms.
12. Cancer – Vitamin D deficiency may be linked to
cancer: a certain study indicated that more than 75% of people with a variety
of cancers have low levels of vitamin D, and the lowest levels are associated
with more advanced cancers. However additional research is required to
determine whether higher vitamin D levels are related to lower cancer incidence
or death rates.
IT IS NOT JUST US THAT CHANGE, BUT OUR ENVIRONMENT THAT
CONTINUES TO CHANGE AND GROW THROUGH OUT THE YEARS. WE NEED TO STOP AND SMELL
THE ROSES AND EXPERIENCE WHAT WE ARE GIVEN AND ENJOY THE SMALL THINGS THAT ARE
ENJOYABLE BEFORE WE ARE UNABLE TO.
What simple, everyday thing can you turn into something
Grand by assigning more Gratitude to it?
Until Sunday, be creative and create your own fun.
