Hello,
Today is Friday our 25th day of hunkering down.
Today Dan and I finally finished the puzzle
our daughter and son -in- law sent to us.
It’s a picture of the Buccaneer stadium.
Have you ever put a puzzle together and found that there were pieces missing?
Well, we did and I looked all over to see if they had fallen onto the
ground. No luck, Dan was wondering if they
were even in the box in the first place.
I would love to say thank you to Misfits, Vital Choice,
Life Extension, Target, Amazon and Kroger.
You all have helped make life easier by delivering our goods. Its just a press of a button on our computer
or phone and within a few hours, days, and weeks our products arrive. Its great these days with the hunkering down
and no car.
The word time came in my head today as I was cooking
brunch. It’s the one thing that doesn’t wait
for us. There was this saying that comes
to mind - We kill time. We save time. We rob and get robbed of time, we lose
time, and we have all the time in the world. But no one of us is powerful
enough to stop the march of time or slow it down.
During this time of uncertainty, most of us have some
time to spend with our children at home or even our love ones on the phone. I
make it a point to call my mom and text my daughter every day to let them know
I love them. When Dan and I were
younger, every year we made it a point to have vacation time to go somewhere
different to explore with our daughter.
I remember one year we went to Atlanta, Ga during the summer Olympics. We didn’t have much money so we camped out at
a state park and took in some of the cheaper events and competitions. This was an experience that we will treasure
as a family.
You can’t keep today’s hour for tomorrow – we all know that,
but still tend to procrastinate. Benjamin Franklin warns that time is a scarce
resource, and if it’s wasted, it cannot be recovered later. This is why mindful
planning and work on productivity are so important. Time is more important
these days, we have the opportunity to take this time to do the things that you
couldn’t do before, for the ones that are not working. Playing with your children, games in door as
well as out doors in your back yards.
Doing crafts that you never had time for, taking a course on line,
reading a book that you had been setting around or even writing a book and
blogging.
Time and the future are uncertain but the end is always
near, so making the most of your day is important to enjoy.
LIFE IS A JOURNEY
TAKE TIME, this writings came out of the book I wrote
while managing cancer.
“Life is full of
beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumblebee, the small child, and the smiling
faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest
potential, and fight for your dreams.”
“Life is the
Dancer and you are the Dance."
THINKING IN BED:
“To everything there is a season and a time to every
purpose under the heaven.” We live day in and day out following this quote,
without realizing it. This is just one of the unknowns. The questions are: Why
are we here? What does your travel bring? Do you recognize why you are here?
What is your purpose? Do you wander off or dream of a journey? Maybe this is
what is in your heart. Perhaps your goal is to someday be reached. Can it
happen that before you know it, it comes to pass and you wake up and you’ve
fulfilled the purpose of everything that was meant to be?
I trust that all purposes have a character of art
attached. You close your eyes and dream, with images showing you what you want
to see. The colors and forms show up, which create a scene that comes through
from your brain. So, take this time to create a purpose.
Until tomorrow, Happy Good Friday.
