Did Chemotherapy hinder Robin Gibb’s Cancer Recovery?
30 May in AngelesHealth
Robin Gibb from the Bee Gees
band had flown in a team of alternative medical practitioners to help him fight
liver cancer, and whilst he saw progress with his disease he unfortunately
passed away from liver failure, not cancer or pneumonia as had been thought.
His son Robin-John Gibb revealed to The Sunday Express newspaper that kidney failure, not cancer or pneumonia, caused his father's death. "Dad had actually gone into remission and the cancer was completely unrecognizable," he said. "No scan could see it." Gibb had been recovering from pneumonia when he had a seizure. "He was then dosed with sedatives to deal with the side effects of his chemotherapy and his liver just couldn't process them," explained RJ. "He deteriorated to the point where it started to affect his kidneys as well … It was a really sudden downturn."
After seven phases of chemotherapy upon his cancer diagnosis in April 2011, Gibb had chosen to receive 24-hour care from Swiss naturopath nutritionists at his home in Oxfordshire.
Naturopaths use the body’s ability to heal itself by encouraging good nutrition, instead of relying on surgery, drugs and potentially lethal chemotherapy and radiation therapy
